Post Oak Boulevard Reconstruction – Middle Package: This construction included the removal of existing asphalt paving and curb for approximately 1,000 linear feet and the placement of 10-inch thick, 5-lane concrete boulevard section with 9-inch crushed subgrade. The work included the installation of a concrete storm sewer, ranging in size from 24-inch to 30-inch, installation of a 12-inch waterline and installation of a 12-inch sanitary sewer line. We also added 2 dedicated, rapid bus transit lanes. Reytec also installed Uptown sidewalks, Uptown Corner Plazas, pedestrian lights, granite bollards, landscaping and irrigation.

William P. Hobby Airport – Terminal Improvement Program: East Concourse and Ticketing Building – Phase 1
This project consisted of demolishing the existing pavement and replacing 35,000 square yards of 16-inch concrete pavement at the Apron area. It also included constructing temporary access ways, installing trench drain, foundation for the blast wall and stripping the gates.

M.D. Anderson Cancer Center: Reytec acted as prime subcontractor to Eby Construction/Flintco. Reytec was responsible for the realignment of Bates Road in front of the Clark Cancer Clinic, which included the relocation of large diameter oak trees, dedicated monument pavers, the installation of temporary asphalt roads, sidewalks and temporary pedestrian walkways, and the relation of all underground utilities, water meter vaults, the construction of concrete planter walls, junction boxes and planter boxes. We removed 4,000 square yards of concrete and replaced it with 10-inch concrete, colored sand blasted sidewalks, decorative pedestrian canopy, pedestrian benches and decorative pavers.

Calder Phase III: This job included street and drainage improvements on Calder Street from Pheland Boulevard to the IH-10 east bound frontage road. The work included removing landscaping, planters, asphalt overlay, concrete pavement and curb, flexible base, surfacing, driveways and sidewalks. Reytec also removed inlets, manholes, culverts and storm pipe as well as placed new storm sewer box, pipes, inlets and manholes. Our crew also installed new storm sewer, inlets, construct base and concrete pavement with curb and gutter. We also installed traffic signals, placed new fiberglass lamp poles and installed sidewalks, brick pavers, landscaping and trees with tree grates.

Downtown Street Improvements to Chaparral Street from William Street to Schatzel Street: This project included the redesign of the roadway and pedestrian right of way of Chaparral Street between William Street and Schatzel Street. The right of way included designed pavers, planters and catenary lighting to enhance the overall atmosphere of the street.

M.D. Anderson Ambulatory Clinical Care Building – Herman Pressler Road & Utility Extension: Reytec acted as prime subcontractor to Hensel Phelps, a design build general contractor. This project included concrete and asphalt paving, curbs, sidewalks, storm sewer, domestic water, sanitary sewer and landscaping. We installed new, four-lane concrete boulevards of 25,000 square yards of 10-inch concrete, serving the M.D. Anderson Clinical Care Building, The Cancer Prevention Building, U.T. Health Science Center School of Nursing and two major Medical Center parking garages.

Williams Drive Phase I & II from Rodd Field Road to Airline Drive: This included street and drainage improvements on Williams Drive. (The new drive became a main artery in Corpus Christi’s new medical district.) The work included installing large storm sewer boxes with a new outfall as well as all new concrete paving on the south side of the existing Williams Drive. Once the south side was completed, Reytec switched all traffic to the new storm sewer box, pipes, inlets and manholes in accordance with the plans. Reytec also removed existing asphalt streets and replaced with lime stabilized base, 7-inch concrete paving and curb, and concrete driveways and sidewalks.
